Dark halls

I am really unsure on where my life is heading.

It may seem quite immature to say so but I really want to go with my interests, instead of practicality. Imagining myself putting it all into studying something that I love makes me look forward to the next 4 years so much. But reality sets in and thinking of how I'll spend the years after that circling job openings on the newspaper that are unrelated to what I've studied in any aspect makes me want to stab myself in the eye.

But practical courses seem like such a chore. Not only would I be wasting my efforts on something that seem to make little sense, I'll be surrounded by people who are competitive, superficial and (oh god, no) boring. (This is just an opinion coming from a very ignorant individual and is not referring to anyone)

Roar, I don't know.

In other (completely unrelated) news, I am going to get a new camera! But not exactly in the near future. I'll have to wait till the end of april after I get my pay cheque, or when my Dad visits(He claims I need a reward for my A level grades. I'm not disagreeing). So I've been thinking: Panasonic LX3. (although it exceeds the budget a little) It isn't exactly a new model or anything but there's been a lot of talk about how awesome this camera is on photography forums and stuff. My ultimate lust-for digicam is the Olympus E-P1 but the LX3 is apparently as good as the former for half the price so, why not.
