Chào (hello in Vietnamese)

005-1x2
Going to Vietnam in less than 3 days! I am really quite excited since the last time I travelled overseas(by plane) was Japan in J1, which leaves more than a year in between!!! I love travelling. I love airplane rides. I love how everyone speaks a foreign language and no one knows you. I especially love wandering around foreign places and getting slightly lost! So very exciting! And we're meeting Van there too! Which makes everything easier. But she's coming on the second night so there's a good balance of everything! HCM city is gonna be awesome.

In other news, I'm really quite sad that my last job assignment ended. I became good friends with my boss and the fact that I'll most likely not meet him again in my whole life makes me so upset. D: I'm really bad with goodbyes. I almost cried but that would've been really embarrassing so I rushed off. Le sigh. It was a really fun 11 days though. (The $$ helps too heh heh heh)

Okay I think next post will be when I come back for Vietnam, so watch out for semi-decent quality photos from my phone and l-ca photos a few days later!!!!!!!!! I have yet to pack and I have no bags to bring because the bags I usually use all don't have zips? (In case of pick pockets)

Work takes up loads of time. So in the mean time, here's a picture from the arts fest's opening event.

I had an epiphany today.

Excite!

The day before my birthday I won a new phone through the newspaper's lucky draw! I got it today and it's pretty awesome. It's pretty incredible that i won the phone considering how many people the paper reaches and how many entries they would've received(I saw some guy mentioning how he entered a hundred times for the phone that I won) (Which makes me feel bad since some people forked out quite a bit of money just for that and I only used... 20c.) Anyway it's an awesome touch screen sony ericsson and it has a good camera, so hooray for that.

Today, I got myself some badges(above) and a few books. Bought a copy of Ceriph and I have to say it's pretty amazing. Maybe I am just a person who is easily awed but this book is rather impressive. Completely worth every penny. I recommend it to everyone. Support local writings, friends!

They told ya, but you were dying for it

Currently I feel like crap and I know this week is going to be crap. I can't wait for work to start next week so life can be less craptastic(!!) than it is right now. And I hate work.

Life has been so uninspired I don't know if there's anything worse.

Sigh no more

I currently am addicted Mumford & Sons. To me, they're a mash up Beirut melodies and Decemberist lyrics. Perfect, really. They make me want to pack all my unnecessary but pretty things into my (nonexistant) vintage suitcase and elope with a very charismatic man with a charming moustache(See: local natives). And the madolin. One cannot go wrong with a mandolin.

In other news I am really, really broke right now. Mostly due to my previous paycheck not getting through. I'll get my money eventually but I am really running out of funds soon. And I obviously cannot ask my parents for money because they'd be outraged by the fact that I've spent most of my previous paychecks away. (I kinda just realised that myself and I am quite appalled by my lack of self control) Gah, hope they get back to me soon.

I can feel my Sun hands

00520004
So, I did myself a favour and decided to attempt to rekindle a friendship. Not too sure how it'll work out but I guess it's better than nothing. This is pretty important to me, because I've been allowing myself to put it aside for way too long.

It has been quite a number of years since we were friends. I don't even remember why I ended this friendship. But I remember clearly all the good times we had before that, and none of what led to my really, really silly actions. Secondary school was a time I made too many decisions based on really trivial issues. What we had was good, and I cannot imagine the disappointments I put you through.

I'm sorry.
Let's start over.

LC-A test roll

00520037
Went to get my test roll for my LC-A processed! Disappointed in most of my pictures because they were mostly blurred/underexposed.

Note to self:
  • TWO clicks
  • Bright places
  • Sturdy hands

I have another photo of Mervin and they look EXACTLY THE SAME. But anyway I like how this turned out:

Emitting lots of love for my LC-A.

1. Birthday is this week and I have received my first birthday present for the year(Thanks JCMBMJ!). But turning 19 is such a unappealing prospect, I am terribly unexcited.

2. I thought Amazon.com was my best friend but they only ship within the continental USA for some items. Really disappointed in you, Amazon. Anyway I don't think anyone actually relates the word 'Amazon' to the great rainforest in South America anymore, do they? Tragic, really.

3. Arrested development!

4. My arms are aching from Bishi Bashi(!!). Enjoyed the game a little too much yesterday and I actually considered buying it off the internet(not the playstation game but the arcade machine). Not very easy to find though.

5. My apple juice tastes like soap.

Can someone tell me whether the envelope that came in NUS's freshmen guide is for Form P or is it for some other use? I really want to use it for form P(for some reason) but this uncertainty is troubling me.
